Walk Leader bios: Kiran Misra

I’m a first year student at the University of Chicago hoping to go into studying law.

Currently, I work at the University Community Service Center (https://ucsc.uchicago.edu/) and the 61st street Farmers Market (http://experimentalstation.org/farmers-market) and have an undying love of bhangra, feminism (http://fannypackfeminism.tumblr.com/) mock trial, photography (http://photographybykiran.tumblr.com/), cats, social justice, and playing the violin.

In my free time, I also explore Chicago neighborhoods, with the hope of visiting and journaling about each one of the 77 community areas in the city before I graduate. I love telling stories and talking about issues I care about – see my articles in the Maroon’s Viewpoints section (http://chicagomaroon.com/author/kiran-misra/) and at the Chicago Studies website (https://chicagostudies.uchicago.edu/).
